BIOMOL Research Laboratories, Inc. and AFFINITI Research Products Ltd. announce merger

Plymouth Meeting, PA and Exeter, UK - November 26, 2003:

Today Biomol Research Labs, Inc. and AFFINITI Research Products, Ltd. announced the merger of the two companies.  This merger establishes the new company, BIOMOL International, L.P. as a global supplier of innovative signal transduction products and services for the life science research market.  The companies will continue operating from their respective Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, USA and Exeter, England headquarters under their current management teams.

According to Robert Zipkin, PhD, President of BIOMOL International., the two companies are a natural fit.  "AFFINITI has been a key distributor of Biomol products in the United Kingdom for many years and their cutting-edge product line is a valuable addition to the Biomol catalog.  This is a win-win situation for the customers and employees of both companies" said Dr. Zipkin.  He noted that the merger strengthens the companies from both logistical and technology perspectives.  "The merger will provide our US and European customers an improved service-delivery efficiency by streamlining ordering, inventory, and reducing shipping times caused by importation and customs delays.   Additionally, the combined scientific expertise and capabilities of Biomol and AFFINITI will keep our new product pipeline flowing for many years to come."
